Abstract
New York newspaper information indicates, that America was promoting the meeting of the Archbishop with the British governor. The United States designated the British to conduct the meeting under silent friendly talks and not through UN official talks. The United States are very interested in the Cyprus issue and believe that if things go smoothly, if the minds assuage and if there is good willing, self-determination of the Cyprus people will be a fact in time.
