Subject
The many faces and logic of violence: exploring non-ethnic conflict-related violence in Cyprus, 1955-64
Abstract
Yesterday, Himmet Hasim was shot and killed by the security forces because he did not understand "halt!" in English. In the future, in order to not have problems like this, security forces must warn people in three languages: in Turkish, in Greek, and in English.
Geçtiğimiz gün emniyet güçleri tarafından vurulan Himmet Haşim'in İngilizce "dur!" uyarısını anlamadığı için öldürüldüğü belirtilerek, emniyet güçlerinin tüm uyarıları Türkçe-Rumaca ve İngilizce yapmasının önemi vurgulanıyor.
