Abstract

Yesterday, Himmet Hasim was shot and killed by the security forces because he did not understand "halt!" in English. In the future, in order to not have problems like this, security forces must warn people in three languages: in Turkish, in Greek, and in English.

GeÃ§tiÄŸimiz gÃ¼n emniyet gÃ¼Ã§leri tarafÄ±ndan vurulan Himmet HaÅŸim'in Ä°ngilizce "dur!" uyarÄ±sÄ±nÄ± anlamadÄ±ÄŸÄ± iÃ§in Ã¶ldÃ¼rÃ¼ldÃ¼ÄŸÃ¼ belirtilerek, emniyet gÃ¼Ã§lerinin tÃ¼m uyarÄ±larÄ± TÃ¼rkÃ§e-Rumaca ve Ä°ngilizce yapmasÄ±nÄ±n Ã¶nemi vurgulanÄ±yor.
