Abstract

Altan Yavuz comments on a letter of a Turkish Cypriot, named Cafer Mulla Çavuş, who resides in Melandra and used to work as an health officer in Lyso. The villager complains that he was fired this year and a Greek Cypriot was assigned to his position. He claims that all four health officers in Lisa are Greek Cypriots. Yavuz criticizes such discriminatory attitudes directed towards the Turkish community.
