Abstract
According to official announcements from the beginning of EOKA's uprising, April 1st 1955, until 7.30 last night the following incidents were recorded.
Fifty-five soldiers were killed and one hundred and ninety-five were injured. Twenty-four policemen and ninety-two civilians were killed, sixty policemen and one hundred and twenty civilians were injured. Also twelve people were killed and seventy one people were accidental casualties. During inter-communal trouble four were murdered and thirty injured.
During this period five hundred and sixty-four big bombs and four hundred and fifty-one smiler ones were thrown while only four hundred and eighteen exploded.
