Abstract
A huge crowd greeted the Archbishop at the airport welcoming him for Athens and cheering over the unification with Greece and other national cues. Afterwards, strong police force accompanied the Archbishop to the archdiocese. There the Metropolitan of Kyrenias Mr. Kyprianos greeted Mr. Makarios. In his speech, Mr. Kyprianos pinpointed the adherence of Greek Cypriots in their demand of national freedom and that the mother Greece awaits its daughter Cyprus to be united. In all his speech the Metropolitan was a strong supporter of continuing the fight for freedom and unification with Greece. He greeted the Archbishop with words " Long live the Union".
